  • Last day of classes for Block I, II, and IV 

  • December 1 (May 1) for Block III

Student teaching applications are due February 28, 2003

Principles of  Learning and Teaching

If you want a copy of all (or any) of the PLT test for the four
licensure levels, go to www.ets.org/praxis.   On the left toward the
bottom you will see a link entitled "Tests at a Glance".  Open that
for the four level tests.  CAUTION: The first four pages are the same
for all tests.  The level specific information is given on pages 5 -
12.

How To Be Prepared For Pre-Registration and Portfolio Advising

  1. Always call ahead to schedule an advising appointment.

  2. Pre-Block: call Education Support Services in 107 Corbin at 978-3300

    Block 1 – Block 4: call the C&I office in 151 Corbin at 978-3322 or your assigned advisor. 

  3. Write down your personal schedule (work, athletics, family etc.) to bring with you. Include days and times that would be best for you to take classes.

  4. Examine your program check-sheet located in your student folder in Education Support Services in 107 Corbin.

  5. Look over the WSU Schedule of Courses. List the classes (including days and times) that you want to take. Be sure to include alternative choices.

  6. Prepare a list of questions and concerns that you want to discuss with an advisor.

  7. Check out your student folder (you will need your student ID) from Education Support Services in 107 Corbin.

  8. If you are also meeting for portfolio advising, bring your portfolio or whatever you have ready at that time. Bring evaluation form  for the block you are enrolled at (forms are available both in 107 and on the web)

  9. Meet with your advisor. Be prompt.

  10. Return your folder to Education Support Services in 107 Corbin.

FOR GRADUATION:

  1. Students (BLOCK 3) fill out an application for degree at the same time as they fill out a student teaching application

  2. You can go into 107 to see if your check sheet is up to date and if there are other things that you need to complete--we can meet at that time, if necessary.

  3. The bookstore will have information about gowns and hats and honor cords.

  4. Sue Burdette (978 3756) organizes our graduation ceremonies and she has  have information about date and time.

Please select 3 times out from this calendar  and e-mail them to me to reserve a slot.
Sort them in your order of priority.
